Yaffa Borukhova is an educator, writer, and illustrator. Born in Tajikistan, she immigrated to the United States as a child. Growing up in the Soviet Union, ‘Jewish’ was listed as her nationality on official documents. Her work draws on family traditions and her own journey of self-discovery while exploring questions of identity, heritage, and belonging across cultures.

In addition to her writing, Borukhova hosts the podcast StreetSmarts MBA, where she explores conversations about identity, culture, and everyday life, and has a blog on Substack.
