Tani Prell

Tani Prell’s (she/her) life and career have been centered around education, Judaism, and the arts, with a commitment to equity and belonging as a thread throughout. Tani is the Creative Director for Be’chol Lashon and an experienced Jewish educator with a focus on racial diversity, equity, and inclusion. Tani is a former arts educator, synagogue education director, and Chicago Director for 18Doors. She has her BA in Creative Writing from Macalester College, and MA in Jewish Professional Studies from The Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning. Tani loves bringing elements of her Black and Italian identities into Jewish holidays and rituals, and sharing Jewish experiences with her family and friends from a range of backgrounds.

Amy joined the board of Be'chol Lashon in 2022, and her leadership has already been invaluable to the organization. May’s celebration of both Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage month and Jewish heritage month is also a celebration of Amy’s Asian and Jewish identities.
