Workitu's Passover: A Story from Ethiopia

Join Workitu as she prepares for Passover as a child living in Ethiopia. Despite wanting to hold onto her favorite cup, we learn with Workitu her Jewish village’s tradition of smashing their old plates and cups for Passover to rid them of chametz, or any wheat, barley, rye or oats that aren’t eaten on the holiday. Along the way, Workitu also gains coming of age lessons form her family and a connection to ancient Judaism. Workitu’s Passover: A Story from Ethiopia is a great addition for all ages to prepare for the holiday and celebrate the diversity of Passover traditions around the world.
